THE EFFECTS OF BURNOUT AND ORGANIZATIONAL COMMITMENT ON OCCUPATIONAL COMMITMENT: A STUDY ON BANK EMPLOYEES

The aim of this study is to determine the effects of exhaustion and organizational commitment of the bank employees on occupational commitment. The effects were surveyed on 628 bank employees across Turkey. According to survey results, while the bank employees’ exhaustion decreases and organizational commitment increases, occupational commitment increases. As to the demographic variable, according to age, marital status, educational status, length of service in the profession, length of working time in the current bank, type of the bank, the level of occupational commitment of the bank employees varies.
