Abstract

The ethical evaluations and expectance about the job environment has begun to change as a result of the increase in the amount of qualified employees in today’s organizations. Because of that reason, business ethics which helps to define the right or wrong, by applying the work rules and procedures according to job requirements, plays an important role for the organizations. While it is said that business ethics is shaped as a result of the job related subjects like the organizational attitudes, manager’s behaviors and other employee attitudes, personal values and demographic variables may also create diversity in the context of moral development. In this research, gender, age, education and position variables which have a correlation with moral development was used to express the differences in outcomes of business ethics perception and its dimensions. As a second aim, it has been tried to depict the impacts of business ethics education on business ethics perception. After the evaluation of the data collected from one hundred fifty four participants with questionnaire methodology, ýt was indicated that business ethics perception which is formed by workfellow attitudes dimension has diversified according to education level and the meaningful diversification was occurred among the participants who have undergraduate degree and MBA degree. When it is about the personal values forming the business ethics perception, the meaningful diversification occurred among the employees and managers according to the position variable. The last important finding within this research was that the business ethics education had a significant and meaningful effect on business ethics perception.
