THE EFFECT OF ETHICAL CLIMATE ON EMPLOYEES’ JOB SATISFACTION AND THEIR ORGANIZATIONAL COMMITMENT: A RESEARCH IN HOTEL BUSINESS

Abstract

As the presence of many human-driven problems is known especially in the accomonadation businesses, the ethic climate and the ethical behaviours become more important as the human resource stands out more. Unethical behaviours cause a stressful environment in the business, which negatively affects the employees’ job satisfaction and their organizational commitment. In this study, the effects of the ethic climate in the hotel businesses on the employees’ job satisfaction and their organisaonal commitment will be studied. At the 5 and 4- star hotels in the centrum of Konya, the facts obtained from the surveys applied to the 136 mid-level and executive managers were analysed through computer program. With the correlation analyse carried out at the end of the research, it has been concluded that there is a positive relation between the ethic climate and the organizational commitment and job satisfaction. Structural equation model analysis tests have been made in the study. According to the results of the SEM, hypotheses was accepted.
