EQUIPMENT SELECTION IN SHIP BUILDING PROCESS: TOPSIS, MOORA, VIKOR APPLICATION

Abstract

In this paper, equipment selection problem talked over according to NB25 coded fishing vessel project with regard to TOPSIS, MOORA, and VIKOR method. 7 main engine and 7 generators are compared with in terms of total 10 ten criteria and option situation are determined. Accordingly, suitable selections for main engine selection problem are found out Daihatsu according to TOPSIS method, Daihatsu and ABC according to VIKOR method, Wartsila according to ratio method of MOORA method, ABC, and Daihatsu according to reference point approach of MOORA method. Suitable selections for the generator selection problem are found out Cummins according to TOPSIS method, Cummins and Perkins according to VIKOR method, CAT according to ratio application of MOORA method, Cummins according to reference point approach of MOORA method. Consequently, TOPSIS, VIKOR and reference point approach of MOORA method are given proximate results for main engine and generator selection problem. Ratio method of MOORA is given different results than other methods.
