Abstract

Turkish scientist Cahit Arf emphasises the following about universities: "Universities are the brains of society. For a healthy social development, the brain must be strong and function at a high level. The development and gradual socialisation of scientific creativity can only be achieved in this way". Whereas, universities, which are the brains of society, should also be the pioneers of society in terms of ethics. From this point of view, "Research Assistants", who will be the scientists of the future, can identify the ethical values of the institution where they work with themselves and take them as an example in the future, and the ethical values of the Higher Education Institution where they work will be their road map. For this reason, this study investigated how research assistants perceive the ethical values of the institutions where they work and how this perception affects their psychological contract levels.
