Abstract

In this study, it is aimed to investigate the relations of Turkish managers living and working in Hungary with different cultures in terms of cultural intelligence. Two countries, Hungary and Türkiye, were included in the research. Examining the similarities and differences between Hungarian and Turkish culture are the main dimensions of the research. It is aimed that the research will provide a new perspective on leadership, management, sociology and culture in the international arena. Qualitative data analysis was used as the data collection method. Face-to-face interviews were held with Turkish managers and coding was made in line with the information they gave as a result of the interviews. Findings as a result of the analysis; The relations of Turkish managers with Hungarians, the extent to which the differences and similarities in Hungary affect Turkish managers, the role of cultural intelligence in the management of managers' differences, and the way culture is perceived are discussed. In this regard, it has been revealed that the relations of Turkish administrators with their host countries are shaped according to similarities and differences. The main reason why managers can adapt to differences is the person's cultural intelligence. Turkish managers, on the other hand, state that their experience abroad was full of uncertainties and differences, and that even though there were negativities, they still felt the positive effects more.
