Then, the financial sanctions imposed on Russia, the effects of these sanctions on the Russian economy and the effects of the sanctions on the Russian policy area are evaluated. As a result of the study, it is seen that the disagreements and conflicts that started between Russia and Ukraine in 2014 and continued with Russia's destructive initiatives are not accepted especially by the United States of America and the European Union countries and have caused the development of trade embargoes and economic sanctions against Russia. In this context, it has been determined that the sanctions imposed have debilitating effects on the Russian economy as well as its general situation, but they do not have a deterrent effect.
