Students are given the opportunity to choose their own faculty and department when entering higher education. Universal education provides students with the development and change that will continue throughout their lives. In this system, what is more important than the accumulation of knowledge is to provide students with the ability to think critically. In short, education should ensure the formation of a new culture in students.
Contemporary art theory enables students to conduct research in a wide range of creative, cultural and historical contexts through speculative, literary, philosophical, organizational, social and economic means. The creation of an art environment in a university is the most important condition for the development of the pedagogical position of every future teacher. The essence of art pedagogy is education. The education and development of individuals through art ensures the formation of the foundations of artistic culture and the specialization of practical skills. An education system that takes liberal arts as an example gives great importance to the personal development of its graduates, develops critical thinking and problem-solving skills in students, and produces graduates who can express their free thoughts skillfully, prepare themselves for the economic environment where flexibility and adaptability are much more valuable qualities in a changing and developing world and can easily find their way. The basis of the mission of modern education is to provide the necessary conditions for the individual to determine his/her own destiny and realize himself/herself.
The article reflects the problems, tasks and pedagogical relations in the methodology of contemporary art teaching. Therefore, the creative activity of art students should teach them to have their own opinions, their own point of view, to think independently and develop ideas, analyze, compare and work creatively.
Our study is a compilation study created by scanning written and internet sources. The main purpose of the study is to investigate the answer to the question of how modern education in contemporary art should be. In today's world where information exchange has accelerated with the development of technology, there are no more strict and definite rules as in the past, and original thought has become dominant in every field. This approach has also manifested itself in art education and a modern education model has emerged in contemporary art. In this model, educators should keep up with the new world, update themselves and their education programs. Contemporary art education should be made attractive to students, they should be encouraged to research and they should be supported to think freely. The basic mission of contemporary art education is to ensure that students who receive art education understand and find themselves, and realize that the problems concern not only ourselves but also the world society.
