The 11th and 13th centuries represent an important period in terms of science and culture in the Khwarazm geography. Khwarazm is a region in Central Asia, known especially for the scholars it has trained in the fields of science and culture. The contributions of the scholars trained in Khwarazm during this period have an important place in both the Islamic world and the history of world science. The main characteristics of the scholars trained in the Khwarazm geography in these centuries are their scientific productivity and their success in various fields. These scholars have produced important works in many fields such as mathematics, astronomy, medicine, philosophy, geometry and literature. It is particularly noteworthy that the scholars of Khwarazm combined the scientific traditions of Western and Central Asia and studied and developed scientific texts written in both Arabic and Persian. These scholars trained some of the greatest scientists of their time and made Khwarazm a center of science and culture.
