When it is analyzed historical process of music, it shows that romantic period also differs from the other periods with characteristic features as each period develops out of the necessity to fulfil a specific need and produce a change in comparison with the previous period. In that period, it is drawn attention to subjective and free expressions, passion, short lyric songs to be written for playing on the piano (for waltz, polonaise, mazurka, nocturnes, romances), orchestral music (symphonic poems, programmed symphony, overtures for concert) and operas. Works of composers created aesthetically in various styles in the Romantic Period have been listened admiringly and sung nowadays. In Romantic Period, music generally interacts with the whole field of art; many lieds, symphonic poems and programmed music have therefore provided opportunity for a different expression.
