Publication Principles

  1. To upload an article to the journal system, one must become a member of the system. All processes related to the uploaded article are conducted through the system.
  2. The journal accepts submissions in Traditional Turkish Arts, Visual Arts, Art History and Archaeology, Performing Arts, Music, Language and Literature, as well as interdisciplinary studies related to these fields.
  3. The journal is published twice a year (May and November). The number of issues may be increased or decreased by the decision of the Editorial Board.
  4. Each author and/or article is entitled to the same rights and equality.
  5. The responsibility for the article lies solely with the author. The journal cannot be held liable for any responsibility or obligation. No author can claim rights over the journal.
  6. When uploading an article to the system, it is mandatory to sign and upload the Copyright Transfer Agreement located on the journal's page. In this way, all rights to the uploaded article are transferred to the journal.
  7. An Anti-Plagiarism Report (up to 30%) must be uploaded to the system when submitting an article.
  8. Submitted articles to the journal should not have been used or submitted for evaluation elsewhere for any reason. In such a case, the article will be rejected, and legal proceedings will be initiated against the author; even if the article has been published, it will be removed from publication.
  9. If previously used works such as theses, presentations, or papers have been transformed into articles, information about the "previous usage" must be included in the footnote of the article and explained. Otherwise, it will be considered plagiarism, and the journal does not accept this obligation.
  10. Section editors and referees act independently. Each article is evaluated by expert referees in the field, and articles receiving positive reviews are published in the next available issue if deemed suitable, otherwise in the subsequent issue.
  11. The review period by the referees is one month. If no response is received within a month, the article is redirected to another referee. In this case, the evaluation period may be extended, and the author/authors cannot claim any rights.
  12. Only the editor-in-chief and section editor know which referees will evaluate the articles. This information is not shared with the author/authors or third parties.
  13. The referee report, opinions, and evaluations related to the publication assessment are sent to the first author. The article correction period is 15 days, and if the corrections are not uploaded to the system within this period, the article will be rejected. In this case, the author has no right to any sanctions regarding the journal.
  14. Minor or major corrections are allowed for each article, with a maximum of 3 correction opportunities. If the requested corrections are not made, the article will be rejected.
  15. The author/authors have the right to withdraw their articles at any stage. The withdrawal request must be communicated to the editor-in-chief via email.
