Abstract

The work-life balance is the harmony between the multiple roles that the individual has in the whole of his or her life. A healthy balance between the two worlds of private life and business life brings together more happier and more successful individuals. When there are problems in establishing balance, the situation called conflict occurs. This conflict is defined as the conflict of our roles in different areas of life. Organizations can play an effective role in restoring this balance with supportive programs in some life stages where work-life balances of employees are damaged or deteriorated. Employee support programs implemented by employers are an effective source of family-friendly programs for employees in conflict. The aim of this study is to determine the impact of the organization's perception that it supports the family, which is an important element of the work-life balance programs for four private hospitals for health sector employees, which have intensive working hours, on their commitment to work. As a result of the regression analysis, the perception that the organization supports the family was determined to affect the work commitment of 0.29% positively.
