Abstract

Human resource management responsible for taking the necessary precautions and coordination in terms of occupational safety and worker’s health to ensure a safe working environment in the entreprice. It is possible to see the researches of occupational safety and worker’s health for industry and service sectors in working life. However there are not so many researches on the occupational safety and worker’s health in viticultural entreprices which located in the agricultural sector of 6 million workers are employed. Grape cultivation is situated in ‘dangerous’ workplace class according to the Occupational Health and Safety Workplace Hazard Class Communiqué.The purpose of the study is determine the accidents and risks faced by workers, and identify what precautions should be taken for reduce the risk and to prevent accidents. For solution the research problem's were discussed with 72 business owners and workers selected as purposeful in Alaþehir and Salihli cities in Manisa. According to the findings obtained through surveys; Even though 67% of workers are interested in viticulture for 15 years and over, %82 of them haven't been trained on prevention accidents and occupational diseases. It is determined that vineyard workers who are faced with environmental risks, pesticides, fertilizers, risks of agricultural tools and machinery in an open field, haven't used enough of protective equipment and materials. It was found negative correlation between company size and exposure to environmental risks of workers. Entreprices which have over 100 decare agricultural area, have less enviroment risk than smaller entreprices. It was determined that study participants exposed to the accident 130 times and the agriculture machine tools to be first cause of the accidents. As a result, business owners in the human resources manager position should take precautions for the occupational safety and worker’s health for their employees. The employee training should be done to prevent risks and accidents in the viticulture enterprices. Furthermore usage of protective equipments and materials will be solved so many problems and this reality must be transferred to the agricultural workers.
