Abstract

The internet usage has become very common in the digitalizing World. In the studies carried out the internet access and usage have been becoming different according to demographic characteristics. It is seen that elderly, women, and disabled are disadvantaged groups in accessing the internet and using. It can be said that this concept, which is defined as the Digital Divide, also applies to groups living in different regions. This situation is revealed socio-economic differences which is defined as domestic digital divide. In this study, internet usage of households? in Turkey; devices that can connect to the internet and access to the internet, devices with internet connection and internet connection types are examined. According to Turkey Nomenclature of Territorial Units for Statistics (NUTS_1) there are 12 regions. The aim of this study is to investigate households in Turkey how many classes they can evaluate in terms of internet usage and differences between the 12 specified regions they can evaluate in terms of internet usage. For this purpose, Latent Class Analysis will be used as the research method.
