?smail Hakk? Baltac?o?lu is a philosopher, calligrapher, sociologist, educator and author that lived between 1886 and 1978. Today, there are dozens of graduate dissertations and research articles on Ismail Hakki Baltac?o?lu. His vision of education, drama works, Quran interpretation, children plays, abstracts from his works, his calligraphy... still become the focus of researchers that produce science and knowledge in the 2016s. Despite the fact that he died decades ago, he left over 100 priceless works to all humanity. Part of his works has been translated into the modern Turkish to help scientists produce knowledge. Influenced by the western innovation movement, Baltac?o?lu criticized the education system of its time. He argued that innovation should take place as a whole. He opposed memorization and criticized the failure of the then system to groom minds. He also emphasized the importance of dedication to values and harmony with social life.
