EVALUATION OF MICRO ENTERPRISES BUYING READY MATERIALS AND LABOR FORCE IN TERMS OF THEIR CONTRIBUTION TO THE YOUTH EMPLOYMENT

Abstract

The developing technology has revealed the necessity of renewing carpentry workshops as well and the enterprises with capital have renewed their mechanical tracks and thus, have been able to produce more quality products and increase their operating speed. For companies failing to keep pace with that innovation speed, the system has created a market within itself leading to innovation and the production of products of the same speed and quality, on condition that companies buying high-cost machines will be employed. Thus, micro enterprises are able to continue their activities by getting some of the operations of products in the production line that they design done by other companies and buying ready materials and labor force. Buying ready materials and labor force opens new areas of employment creation for the youth. The study thoroughly discusses positive and negative aspects of the activities of micro enterprises within the system, including their advantages and disadvantages, as well as how they are included in the system and what the system contributes to them. Accordingly, the micro enterprises operating in the province of Denizli comprise the extent and limitation of the study. It was tried to determine how and to what extent the enterprises utilized ready materials and labor force and it was found that the enterprises did many work that could be done outside by themselves, however they utilized other enterprises when they remained incapable. The presence of contract work was evaluated in terms of the furniture industry. As long as the youth who have graduated or are about to graduate gain experience, are included in employment and make attempts to produce via these small enterprises, the aforementioned furniture sector will develop even further. It was observed that buying ready materials agreed with enterprises under the counter, leading to cheap work in the market and decrease of capital investments due to higher investment costs. In the contract work done by micro enterprises, it was determined that the environment of trust which was created by enterprises interacting with each other was not damaged and good relationships were established also after the work, as there was a strong communication between the enterprises. In the study, when the enterprises were asked about the problems of the sector; they stated that the enterprises from which they bought raw materials increased prices whenever they desired to, whereas they were not able to increase prices in such a short time and although the sector had certain problems, the relevant chambers and organizations neither offered solutions nor showed any interest. We suggest that such micro enterprises be encouraged and promoted to contribute to the employment of the youth who have graduated or are about to graduate.
