Abstract

In this research, a scale was developed to determine the fire emergency awareness levels of the personnel working in passenger ships and sports facilities. The scale draft, which was created after the literatüre research and expert opinions, was applied on 402 volunteers. As a result of factor analysis, the scale gained its final form with 31 questions and 6 sub-dimensions emerged. In the test-retest application, the relationship/correlation between the first and second application scores was calculated with intra-class correlation (ICC) and was found to be 0.926. This value shows that the questionnaire is reliable. The Cronbach Alpha Coefficient was used for the internal consistency of the questionnaire reliability (Cronbach alpha= 0.957).
