Abstract

Social change is a reality experienced in every society in the social sense. One of the most important areas where social change is experienced is the religious life and attitudes of women. This change is a painful process because our country has the characteristics of a transition society. Our society has become an area where both modernity and traditional clash. The issue of women can be examined in many ways and in many fields. However, in this study, it is tried to reveal the effect of religion and tradition on the relationship styles of women in social, political and economic life, and the roles of women and men. In our research, on the other hand, there is the transformative effect of changing socio-cultural and economic conditions on religious perceptions and lives. In this study, we tried to examine the behavior of women in terms of religious belief and sociology according to changing social conditions. As a result, women's religiosity is a phenomenon that embodies women's religious thinking, living and attitude. Every closed or open society is affected by social change. While women's religiousness feels the effects of modern life, it also preserves traditional values.
