Modern management thinking places the responsibility for empowering staff to improve organizational commitment and job performance levels. For this reason, it is vital for health institutions to create an organizational culture that will increase the commitment and performance of employees to the organization. The main purpose of this research is to investigate the effect of staff empowerment on organizational commitment and individual job performance in hospitals, which are service businesses. For this purpose, a questionnaire was applied to 170 personnel working at all levels operating in the Florya, Bahçelievler, Büyükçekmece and Esenyurt campuses of Istanbul Aydın University Faculty of Dentistry. As a result of the research, it is seen that personnel empowerment has a positive and significant effect on organizational commitment and individual job performance. The most compatible structural equation model consisting of all these variables is determined by path analysis and suggestions are made to institutions.
