Learning geography starts with children's ability to notice, examine and think about their own surroundings. The early experiences also increase children's awareness of geography concepts. In this study, it was aimed to get the opinions of preschool teachers in order to make geography education visible in our country. For this purpose, situation analysis from qualitative research patterns was used. In this context, interviews were conducted with 16 teachers from private and public schools using easily accessible case sampling from purposeful sampling. The data collection was carried out face-to-face with a semi-structured interview form. These data were subjected to descriptive and content analysis. As a result of the research, preschool teachers stated that geography education is necessary in the preschool period. While teaching geography, teachers agree that the child should get to know the country, region, environment and nature where he lives, as well as the sky and planets.
