Abstract

Hüseyin Rahmi Gürpınar, whose first novel was published in 1888, wrote 41 novels over a long period of time before and after the Republic. The author, a good observer, has left a sociological material worth investigating in future generations with his novels, which take his subjects to life. It is also the case that Hüseyin Rahmi declares his own opinion directly in the same way as he presents the message he wants to give in his novels through his heroes. Below, we tried to give the opinions in manner of clause of the author and persons about the marriage in his novels. Thus, we aimed to make it easier to understand what Gürpınar intended to say about marriage which he advocated in his works and to understand what he wanted to convey to the reader. It is the aim of this article to interpret and interpret the findings that obtained in the novels of him as a narrator and the findings obtained by the heroes of the novel persons in sociological and psychological context.
