Abstract

Human race hare passed to settled life with the effects of social, economical, military etc… factors in historical period and with the development of these centres of population,cities have formed. So far, many different definitions have been made, many theories have been suggested and different aspects have been put for ward upon city and city culture. But, many of these have mostly dealt with one or so meelements making up city or they have analyzed from definite perspectives. But, among the best and most comprehensive studies upon city, Weber’s study can be seen. Generally depates about city and depates upon Islam city among theories is known to have started with Max Weber’s trade in Europe,his cast leand wall, his bazaar, his court, houry particulars oveeringly and mornly poletical and economical elemensterm “West City”. This debate, which began with Weber, has gained a different dimension through the work of many researchers working on the history of the Middle East, such as Lapidus. In this article, theoretical explanations of the theoretical explanations of the theoretical explanations on the Islamic city and the theoretical explanations that Weber put forward reveal that researchers working on the history of Islam in many Middle Eastern countries like Lapidus have compared. As a result, it is analyzed that there is an Islamic city formation other than Western city formation, which Weber defended, and how the development of Islamic cultural city-specific structures.
