Consideration of Aral Sea Disaster as a Human Related Disaster Example in Terms of Social Policy

Abstract

In this study, Aral Sea Disaster, which is one of the human related climatic disasters, has been focused. Researches show that the Aral Sea Disaster started and became a disaster in the Soviet Period and after the independency, it has not resolved by West Turkistan countries yet. The current situation has even got worse after the independency. Disaster works are limited to the supports that international organizations partially give. These international organizations? effect has not been enough to recover the economic and ecologic loss that was caused by the disaster because of the fact that the West Turkistan countries could not come together. The unsuccessful attempts support that it is possible to resolve the Aral Sea Disaster by a Turkish Union that would be established in the West Turkistan.
