TURKEY IN GLOBAL COMPETITIVENESS REPORTS

In today's world, the importance of global competition is increasing. However, it is very difficult to measure global competitiveness. The World Economic Forum (WEF) publishes the Global Competitiveness Report annually by analyzing the productivity levels of its countries, the effectiveness of its institutions, policies and factors in relation to competitiveness. Global Competitiveness Index measures approximately 114 indicators with 3 subindex and 12 pillars within the weighted average of many factors.When the Turkey?s data related to global competitiveness report published in the last decade, it is observed that fluctuated global competitiveness. However, Turkey has not changed that pillars with a global competitive advantage and disadvantage. Considering the indirect relationship with other pillars, it can be said that the most important factor affecting the global competitiveness is education.
