Abstract

The aim of this study is to examine the level of time management skills of primary school teachers and whether there is a significant difference according to different variables. Descriptive scanning model was used in the study. The universe of the study consists of primary school teachers who work in official state institutions in Istanbul. The sample of the study consists of 273 primary school teachers who work in official state institutions in Avcılar district of Istanbul. “Personal Information Form” and “Time Management Scale” were used as data collection tools. The Time Management Scale is a three-dimensional scale called “time planning”, “time attitudes” and “time wasters”. The scales were applied to the teachers who continued their duties in the second semester of 2018-2019 academic year. The data in this study were analyzed in SPSS 24 package program. Descriptive statistics and percentage and frequency were used for demographic data. In addition, data were analyzed by t test and ANOVA. As a result of the data analysis, it was seen that the time management skills of primary school teachers were high level. In the study conducted for classroom teachers' time management skills, a significant difference was found according to variables of to age, task, professional seniority, education level and reading related time management field books, journals, articles, etc.
